KM Ultra Low Mechanical Suspension

Cub Cadet Installation - Installed the #6081 seat suspension along with the #6043 Slide Rails, on my 1976 Cub Cadet 1000. You have to remove the stock seat and springs and then drill 4 new 5/16 mounting holes in the cub cadet battery cover assembly using the 11" x 11" bolt pattern of the slide rails. Take whatever time necessary to line up the locations for the new holes as exactly as possible. The 2 rear holes should not be closer than 1" from the rear of the battery cover assembly. Mount the seat (I used a new K & M 123 seat) to the top of the new seat suspension, and then slide rails to the bottom of the new seat suspension. Then mount the whole new assembly to the cub cadet battery cover. If the new holes in the battery cover were aligned correctly, the new seat assembly will fit perfectly. I used all of the hardware provided and reused some of the cub cadet bolts. The original cub cadet seat will not fit this suspension without being modified with new holes. The new seat that I used has an 11.25" x 11.50" bolt pattern which will fit the #6081 suspension. If you don't use slide rails, you have to allow for adequate spacing beneath the seat suspension, to allow for seat travel. I took a few laps around the yard and I am very happy with the new suspension, so far. But with the late spring this year, I have not had much opportunity to use the tractor yet. I'll follow this up in a few months, once I have a chance to use it more. I'll also send some pictures at that time.

Universal settings did not align with Gravely HD2760 ZTR, but can drill holes and make work.

Disappointed it didn't fit - The product was well built, however it did not fit my application. I sent it back, it would have fixed my needs if the frame of my mower was more compatible. I am considering other items, and hoping other options may work.

SUSPENSION - I WOULD HAVE GIVEN IT 5 STARS EXCEPT FOR THE FACT THE ENTIRE UNDERSIDE OF THE SUSPENSION NEEDS TO BE OPEN OR IT WILL BOTTOM OUT, OUCH. BUILT WELL AND SHOULD LAST ALONG TIME.

This is a great addition to my mower - I added this to my John Deere F-620 Zero Turn and it makes mowing rough ground so much less painful. It was not an easy install due to the design of my mower but I am glad I bought it.
